About the Columbus City Education Foundation

Let’s be honest: public education funding is in trouble. With local, state, and federal cuts on the horizon, our students need more support than ever. That’s why the Columbus City Education Foundation was created as an independent nonprofit dedicated to supporting the students of Columbus City Schools. Located in Columbus, Ohio, the CCEF partners with families, educators, businesses, and community members to enhance resources, foster collaboration, and ensure that every student has the support, tools, and opportunities to reach their full potential.

OUR VISION

At the CCEF, we envision a future where every Columbus City Schools student feels supported, graduates prepared for success, and has the resources and opportunities to pursue college, careers, and lifelong achievement. Through collaboration, innovation, and strategic investment in education, we envision public schools as a foundation for academic excellence, opportunity, and thriving communities.

WHO WE ARE

The Foundation is a separate nonprofit entity—not a department of Columbus City Schools. We work in close partnership with the district, families, alumni, and local organizations to support shared goals and long-term student success.

CCEF is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Ohio. Our application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is currently under review by the IRS.
